Before you start, check you fit

  • Your child is between 3 and 18.
  • Give Kids The World does not grant wishes or accept direct family wish applications.
  • There is no on-site medical staff, so arrange your child’s equipment and medical orders before travel.

  1. Ask your doctor for the documentStart here. This is the part that takes the longest.

    Give Kids The World Village needs a signed confirmation of the diagnosis from your doctor. Copy this message, or say it in person at the next visit.

    What the form asks for

    They don’t publish the questions in advance. Have your contact details, your child’s diagnosis and date, and the hospital’s name to hand.

    • The family first contacts a local wish-granting organization; only that partner organization or a children's hospital refers the child to Give Kids The World after eligibility review and selection of a Central Florida wish.

After you send

Ask the local wish-granting organization—not the Village's general contact—for case status and its required documents or deadlines. If you have not heard back in two weeks, write and ask whether it arrived.
