Treatment can make walking difficult for some children. A clinician needs to check the mobility criteria for a placard. Your answers here do not settle that your child meets them.
Eligibility rules
- A qualifying limitation includes being unable to walk 200 feet without another person or an aid.
- A licensed physician, physician assistant or advanced-practice professional nurse can sign the certification.
- Cancer, low blood counts or a wish for closer parking does not by itself meet the mobility test. The clinician certifies the child’s actual limitation.
