Who qualifies
- Each participant must meet the age or pregnancy category, nutrition and residence rules. Medicaid, SNAP or TANF participation establishes income eligibility.
- Nebraska’s income table starts June 1, 2026: 185% of poverty, or $5,088 monthly for four people.
- Nebraska WIC guidance says you do not have to be a U.S. citizen or legal resident and will not be asked about immigration status. The clinic still checks the child’s WIC eligibility and needed identity, residence and income information.

- WIC supplements the grocery budget. A prescribed formula is not automatically covered; the clinic checks the food package.
