Income at or under 185% of the poverty line qualifies, and taking part in NJ FamilyCare, NJ SNAP or TANF can simplify the income check; an application alone does not. The published New Jersey documentation examples include a lease, state identification or recent mail; a Social Security card is not the same thing as proof of citizenship.
