WIC checks each child under five or pregnant or recently pregnant parent separately. Income at or below the posted limit, or qualifying SoonerCare, SNAP or TANF participation, can establish the income part of eligibility. The clinic also checks category, residence and nutrition needs; an application alone is not approval.
Eligibility rules
- Under 5, or pregnant or recently pregnant; each person is checked separately.
- Income at or under 185% of poverty, or participation in Medicaid, SNAP or TANF, establishes the income test. Oklahoma’s posted table runs June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027.
- Oklahoma WIC asks for proof of identity, Oklahoma residence and income or current qualifying benefits. The clinic confirms acceptable documents, missing-document alternatives and any citizenship or immigration questions at 888-655-2942 or 405-426-8500.
- For June 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027, the posted monthly guideline for three people is $4,212. Qualifying Medicaid, SNAP or TANF participation can establish the income test; category, residence and nutrition needs are still checked.

What it is not
- Not the whole grocery budget. Prescribed formulas are not automatically covered; ask the clinic.

After you apply
- WIC serves each eligible person separately: the child under 5. A child aged 5 or over cannot be served through WIC; a pregnant or recently pregnant parent could be served in their own right.
Good to know
WIC can review your younger child using your income now; qualifying benefit participation can simplify the income check, but you do not need to wait for another program’s decision.
