Create a free member profile on the Gilda’s Club Chicago membership page and sign up for a one-hour virtual orientation, or email kirbyweiland@gildasclubchicago.org.

  • Your child can also get bedside yoga and meditation during oncology care at Lurie Children’s or Advocate Children’s; ask your medical staff.
  • Downtown clubhouse visits can include supervised play for young children during some activities.

Free membership in Gilda’s Club Chicago gives children, teens and parents affected by cancer age-appropriate support groups, Noogieland activities and family social events at the Wells Street and Oak Lawn clubhouses and online, plus bedside yoga and meditation for oncology patients at Lurie Children’s and Advocate Children’s. Short-term individual counseling is free for a primary caregiver, and bereavement groups serve those who have lost someone to cancer.

B-ALL is in scope. Anyone affected by any cancer diagnosis can join, including children with B-ALL and their families.

  • Any point from diagnosis through survivorship, and those who have lost someone to cancer.
  • A one-hour virtual orientation, then a Customized Membership Plan meeting, come before support groups or counseling.
