The Aurora Integrated Oncology Foundation Patient Support Fund provides up to $2,000 per patient per year to Alaskans receiving cancer treatment when financial support is needed to access care and the expense is not covered by insurance or another resource. It may pay for transportation, cancer-related lodging, rent, utilities, prescriptions, durable medical equipment, licensed childcare, and other approved needs, but it does not pay another medical facility's bills. The patient completes an intake form and gives it to an oncology care-team member, who must submit the request; awards are first come, first served and depend on available funding.
