Cancer Kids of San Joaquin County

Cancer Kids of San Joaquin County supports local families whose child is in cancer treatment through travel, food, medical-cost, auto-repair, and household assistance. Eligible active-treatment families may request support every six months through a hospital social worker or patient advocate, with current award tiers tied to treatment phase and minimum travel expense. A separate scholarship program serves local childhood-cancer survivors entering or continuing full-time postsecondary education, but its live page still links a 2022 application and current intake is unknown. CKSJC families may also order selected inspirational books free in English or Spanish for home delivery. Core residence is San Joaquin County or the City of Galt; assistance outside that area may be considered on a social worker’s recommendation under unpublished rules.
