Hopecam

Hopecam improves quality of life for children in active cancer treatment by helping them stay socially and educationally connected with classmates. Families may apply in English or Spanish for a no-cost connection plan that can include a child device, classroom camera equipment, temporary internet, secure accounts, school outreach, educational and technical support, scheduled calls, and a Get Connected Bag. A separate HopeGram kit offers nontechnology classroom projects for Pre-K through grade 5 when live connections are not possible. Current and alumni families may request access to a private Facebook peer group, while My Brave Friend and Tips for Connecting are durable school and family resources. Formal eligibility starts at age 3 and extends through an undefined young-adult or college-age upper boundary; many maintenance-treatment cases may not qualify.

My Brave Friend: Emma and Noah Face Cancer Together

This children's book co-created by Hopecam and Livestrong helps kindergarten-through-grade-2 children and teachers understand a classmate's cancer and maintain connection. It follows Emma, who has cancer, and her friend Noah, is based on Livestrong at School, is available for purchase or donation through linked routes, and is included in Pre-K–2 HopeGram kits.
