The Kentucky Elks Association's Jim Bob Kevil Kids with Cancer fund considers Kentucky residents under 18 who are receiving cancer treatment and need help with an eligible expense after other payment routes, including insurance, have denied it. A physician or assigned social worker refers the family and a licensed or certified practitioner documents the denial; current categories include medical copays, equipment or supplies, treatment travel, food, and emergency independence-related equipment or services. Standard help is capped at $1,000 per family per year and paid directly to vendors, while catastrophic requests above $1,000 may be reviewed quarterly and may receive partial or full support. Funds are limited and no request is guaranteed. Kentucky Elks also funds independently operated pediatric-cancer camps, but Camp Quality USA and Kids Cancer Alliance control eligibility, registration, schedules, and acceptance, so those camps are not represented as Kentucky Elks-operated offerings.
