Megan’s Wings Gas Assistance Program mails $50–$100 gas cards for up to four consecutive months to pediatric and young-adult cancer patients in active treatment at Southern California hospitals or cancer centers. The family must have transportation hardship and meet one of two published travel thresholds: at least 15 miles one way four times monthly or 45 miles one way twice monthly. A parent, guardian, or medical social worker applies through the linked form, and applications are reviewed weekly. Megan’s Wings Monthly Assistance Program provides up to three months of partial housing payment or gas and grocery support to Southern California pediatric-oncology families in extreme hardship. The household’s income must have fallen to 50% or less because of the child’s medical needs and must not be replaced by FMLA or unemployment benefits; published examples include relapse, extended hospitalization, transplant, and hospice. Only a medical social worker may apply, and approval depends on documentation and available funds. Megan’s Wings Patient Aid Program offers one-time emergency bill assistance to Southern California pediatric-oncology families when a caregiver cannot work full time because of the child’s treatment or care. Published uses include groceries, medical costs, utilities, housing payments, vehicle repair or payment, transportation, uncovered alternative therapies or supplements, and funeral assistance. Only the child’s hospital or clinic medical social worker may apply, with awards based on documented need and available funds.
