The Msgr. Russ Kohler Children's Cancer Endowment Fund provides grants to Michigan parents and guardians facing financial hardship while a child is in active cancer treatment. A child with B-ALL qualifies when the child was age 17 or younger at first diagnosis, the family resides in Michigan, and the treating physician or social worker confirms the diagnosis, treatment plan, and active-treatment status. Grant funds may support temporary lodging, childcare, transportation, lost wages, rent or mortgage, utilities, vehicle repairs, and other documented needs, but the application requires extensive financial records and all awarded funds expire six months after the award date.
