Tori's Angels helps Iowa infants, children, and adolescents with physician-confirmed life-threatening conditions when families struggle with non-covered costs. It may pay providers directly for airfare or mileage, treatment-related hotels and meals, medical copays or deductibles, and qualifying prescription medicine; rent, mortgage, utilities, and household groceries are excluded. A parent or guardian first calls the assistance line, receives a private application after screening, and authorizes physician confirmation. Approved help applies only to services rendered on or after acceptance and may continue through the child's 19th birthday while funds are available. Accepted families also agree to foundation benefit participation and restrictions on directly competing community fundraisers.
