UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation offers medical grants for children age 16 or younger whose prescribed health services, therapies, medications, supplies, or equipment are not fully covered by primary commercial insurance. Families must meet the published adjusted-gross-income table, maintain commercial coverage, and provide Social Security numbers for both child and applying parent or legal guardian; UnitedHealthcare insurance is not required. Awards can total up to $5,000 in a 12-month period and $10,000 lifetime per child, with payment to providers or reimbursement to the applying parent or guardian. The application portal is public and active, but an August 2026 homepage warning says application and payment-request processing is delayed because of very high volume.
