Angel Flight Southeast arranges no-cost volunteer-pilot transportation for people who cannot reasonably use conventional travel to obtain non-emergency medical care. A child age 0–18 with B-ALL can qualify within Florida, Puerto Rico, or the U.S. Virgin Islands when the child is medically stable and ambulatory and the family demonstrates financial need or another verifiable reason public transportation cannot be used. A family member, patient, physician, nurse, or social worker contacts the mission team, completes the request, provides income and third-party need information, and obtains a physician-signed medical release.
